Our Story

It all began with a simple, yet powerful moment during the pandemic.

While out one day, our co-founders, Noureen Aysha and Naseef Nazar, came across something that stopped them in their tracks—a pile of used sanitary pads waiting to be picked up by sanitation workers. With waste collection happening only once a week due to lockdown restrictions, these workers had no choice but to handle the waste with their bare hands, manually separating gel from plastic.

The sight was more than just unsettling. It was a stark reminder of how something as routine as menstruation can still carry a hidden burden—for both the women who experience it and those who clean up after it.

Naseef turned to Noureen, who had been using a menstrual cup for years, and asked, “Why aren’t more people talking about this?” That moment sparked the idea behind FemiSafe. In 2020, with nothing more than a shared conviction and a passion to make a difference, FemiSafe was born. Since then, we’ve been on a mission to help women—especially in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities—discover safe, sustainable, and affordable menstrual and personal wellness products that truly work for their bodies. We’re not just building a brand—we’re building a best friend for the women of Bharat.

Over the past few years, we’ve grown from a two-person idea into a passionate team of individuals who share one vision: making informed, shame-free, and empowering conversations around women’s health a norm.

And recently, we hit a major milestone—we secured ₹3 crore in funding. This is more than just capital. It’s fuel for our dreams. It’s what allows us to grow our product line, deepen our impact, and reach more women across India who deserve better choices.

Our journey is far from over, but every step forward reminds us of why we started.
